Aker Nscale has secured nine potential data centre campus sites in northern Norway, with opportunities to secure renewable power and connectivity locally, and deliver GPU Infrastructure services for high‑density, large‑scale AI workloads.
With seven locations in the county of Nordland and two in the county of Troms, all the sites will benefit from naturally cool climate and energy prices among the lowest in Europe, due to a surplus of renewable power. In addition, several sites are located fence-to-fence with the national grid and 420kv power lines, and with fibre routes available for data transmission. Currently, a 230MW data center is under construction in Kvandal, in the municipality of Narvik.
